During the initial consultation a full and comprehensive assessment of your condition and symptoms will be taken in addition to details of your past medical history, medication, hobbies and occupation. Following this a thorough physical and functional assessment will take place which may involve you undressing to your underwear in order to carry out an accurate assessment.
At the end of the initial consultation a diagnosis of the problem will be given and explained. A treatment plan will then be discussed with you. I will work with you to find out what your expectations are, what you enjoy and what you would like to get back to doing to ensure the rehabilitation program is tailored to you and realistic timed goals are set. If appropriate, printed exercises will be provided to aid your recovery. Follow up appointments will take place as required and will focus on reassessment of the initial condition and treatment and evaluate progress.
